Philip Vassiliou is a Chief Investment Officer and Partner at Legatum, primarily responsible for the oversight of Legatum’s capital markets activities and the Legatum Ventures portfolio. Mr Vassiliou previously worked for the Dubai Development Investment Authority, promoting foreign direct investment, and in the Equities & Private Wealth divisions of Goldman Sachs in New York and London. Mr Vassiliou is a graduate of Babson College.
Chris Parkinson is a Managing Director of Legatum, responsible for supporting the CIO within the Capital Markets Business. He works with both the internal team and looks for partnership opportunities with external investment talent. Prior to joining Legatum in 2018, Chris was Head of Manager Research and a Partner at Cardano. Chris is a CFA Charterholder and has a BA Hons In Business Management from Reading University.
Damien Tran is co-Portfolio Manager in Legatum’s Capital Markets team, responsible for research and management of Legatum’s investment portfolio. Prior to joining Legatum in 2012, Damien started as an investment analyst at Merrill Lynch in London in 1999 and then worked for Ziff Brothers Investment and The Children’s Investment Fund before founding his own fund. Damien earned a MSc in Finance from ESSEC Business School in France.
David Matthew is Head of Trading in Legatum's Capital Markets team. Prior to joining Legatum in 2012, David was the Head of Trading at Montrica Investment Management and the Head of European Trading at TPG-Axon Capital Management. David also worked in various roles at Caxton Europe Asset Management and Deutsche Bank. David is a CFA Charterholder and holds a BA in Economics from the University of California-Irvine.
Kamil Zniber is an Investment Analyst in Legatum’s Capital Markets Team, responsible for research and analysis of existing and potential holdings. Prior to joining Legatum in 2016, Kamil was a Senior Associate in Citadel’s long / short equity team out of London. Kamil graduated from the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania with a BScE from Wharton and a BA Degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Michel Al-Moumen is an Investment Analyst in Legatum’s Capital Markets Team, responsible for research and analysis of existing and potential holdings. Prior to joining Legatum in 2018, Michel was a Consultant at global investment fund Tiger Global Management based in New York. Michel graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with an MBA in Finance and Accounting, a BScE from the Huntsman Program, and a BA Degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.
