Mark Stoleson is Legatum's former Chief Executive Officer and now serves as a Senior Advisor following his retirement in March 2025.

Mark served in various capacities since Legatum's inception in 2006, including Head of Group Investments. Mark worked with his colleagues to incubate a number of the firm’s key philanthropic endeavours including the END Fund, Freedom Fund, Luminos Fund, The Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT, and the Legatum Institute in London.

Prior to Legatum, Mark was a corporate finance and M&A attorney with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

He holds a BA in International Relations from Occidental College and a JD-LLM from Duke University School of Law.
