Dr. Solomon Zewdu serves as CEO of the END Fund, working to see an end of the suffering caused by five neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) affecting 1.7 billion people.
The END Fund actively supports NTD programmes with dozens of partners in more than 25 countries, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. He previously shaped health engagement strategies at the Mastercard Foundation and led continental health programmes at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, including coordinating the COVID-19 response. A US Air Force veteran and former Deputy Director at BMGF, his experience encompasses managing large-scale global health initiatives, US government programmes (PEPFAR, DHAPP), and philanthropic grants. He is a published expert and serves on multiple boards and advisory groups.
